Family and friends also have created social media accounts to publicize his disappearance, including 'Help us find Hoagie' on Facebook and Twitter.Recently, there have been reported sightings closer to the New York border.In January, Hoagland was reported to have been seen in a Savers store in Brookfield — a town adjacent to Newtown and only a few miles from the New York border. A witness reported seeing Hoagland leave in a vehicle with New York state license plates, officials said.On Thursday, someone visiting an inmate at the Putnam County Correctional Facility told police he saw Hoagland walking into the building, Newtown police said.
